the DECIDE study
We know that deciding whether or not to have surgery for knee pain is a big deal.
To help inform people about management, we partnered with leading experts and synthesised published medical research to develop a new educational package. In this study, we want to determine how well our new educational package performs when compared to existing materials used by health professionals.
We believe that having the right information will help you choose the care that is right for you. By participating in this study, you will be asked to complete 4 surveys over a 12-month period, with the total time commitment expected to be no more than 2 hours.
The potential benefits you will receive include:
• Receiving information about management that may help you decide whether to have surgery.
• Chance to win a $500 AUD gift voucher (or equivalent in your local currency).
• The opportunity to contribute to not-for-profit research that will help improve healthcare for people with arthritis.

Eligible participants will go into the draw for a $500 AUD gift voucher (or equivalent in your local currency). Click here to read the Terms and Conditions.
How will this research be used?
Findings from this research will be used to inform how people with knee osteoarthritis are provided with information about their condition and potential management options. It is anticipated that this will allow people to make more informed decisions about their care and to achieve better health outcomes.
